Our year in review

Here are a few moments that were
highlights for us in 2008.


Daughter Julie
published her French Text Book Granddaughter Angie
published her first novel

All three of our girls got together

Vivian Mae Sweat was born,
our 12th great-grandchild





Caroline Rose Sweat was born,
our 13th great-grandchild




Caroline was blessed






We took some family to see a production of "The Curious Savage",
which was the first show I ever directed in November, 1952







Ben and Jax were married









Macy Claire Huish was born,
our 14th great-grandchild








Great-grandson Ethan
was ordained a deacon










We were able to be with Julie and Tom and family
in Vancouver, Washington











We saw our second production of "Always, Patsy Cline"
and got to meet the star












We got to see grandson Russell off to the MTC













Granddaughter Julia came to see us
during her business trip to Utah















Voted the most popular picture of the year
by the editor of this blog.

There were several other highlights for which, unfortunately,
we have no pictures.
But we have lots of fond memories.
Thanks to you all for making it good year for us in 2008.

You're absolutely right, Dave. How could I forget something like that? I've simply got to get my priorities straight.
As to the theatrical events, you have to remember that theatre productions and family life went hand in hand in our family. Managed to get all three of our daughters in shows over the years.

Oh my gosh, what a fabulous post! That last picture of you and Mom is, I think, the best picture I've ever seen of the two of you. I want an 8 x 10 color glossy to frame and display in my own home. What an eventful, wonderful year!

Oh dad, your post is beautiful! It's one of those "keepers" that I'll go back to time and time again if I need to get a nudge of happiness. And I second Denny's motion - I want an 8 x 10 glossy too!
