One from the archives

Might as well get the new year started with a very old picture. Stage makeup has come a long way since the late 1930's. The painted moustache is acceptable but I think the lipstick is a bit overdone. This is what happened when an a "music man" came to La Grande and put on a children's productio of "Pinocchio". Despite the nose, I didn't play the lead. Had it been "Dumbo" I might have had a better chance.

Stay tuned.

You're too kind, Ang. The only reason I was in that show was because I had a really bad crush on a girl that was in it. I've liked the name of "Barbara" ever since those days.

Hey, I thought I was named after your sister! Loved the picture, dad. I think you have on eyeliner, too!
Love,
Barbara
