GOING, GOING, ---
Just thought you all might like to know the rest of the story.
I posted my ad on KSL Friday. No calls. Saturday: No calls. Sunday: No calls. Monday: No calls.
Tuesday: One call, from a man in Pocatello, Idaho. His son lives in Sugar House and works in Park City. So the son came by tonight, took a look at the tires and made me an offer that was so close to what I was asking (and, to be frank, more than I would have settled for) and loaded them into his BMW (Yeah, even drivers of Beamers want to haggle) and we parted company on good terms. He was a likeable young man, met his wife at BYU, married in the San Diego Temple.....hey, I should probably have just given them to him.
He had a very discerning eye; he spotted one of the tires which had more tread than the other three and wondered why. When I explained that I had a badly punctured flat and had to replace one of the original four, he seemed satisfied.
Many years ago, a friend of mine who owned and operated the 76 Station in La Grande said "If both the seller and the buyer are happy, it's a good deal."
I'll go for that.

Good going, Grandpa! He blogs, he sells stuff on KSL.com--hippest Grandpa I know.
Thanks for sharing the rest of the story. Way to go, Grandpa!
Good job :)
Success!!! Beamer owners haggle probably because that's one of the ways they came to own Beamers.
And yes, I'd love to have a revival of "The Music Man." So, there, ya sold me!
