I'm a sore loser.
As I was saying ....
We live in this condo. There is a basement garage and two floors of condos --three stories.
In the garage, as you approach the elevator you see one button: UP.
On the top floor --one button: DOWN.
On the main floor (where we live) there are two buttons. Why? Sure, I may want to go up or down, but WHERE IS THE ELEVATOR at the time I push one of those buttons? No matter which button I push, the elevator comes. I rest my original case.
Sure, in a building like the one below, where there are probably dozens of elevators and a gazillion people all wanting to use them at the same time, UP and DOWN buttons on every floor are a must. But why does a three story building, occupied by people in their way-past-prime time of life, need to confront us with a choice we don't really need to make?
Unlike the NMH, I haven't given up blogging. But then, the most responses I've ever had were thirteen, so the frequency of publication is no big deal.
This update is because one person actually said they missed my blog.
Make a comment. Be the first person to call me on the grammatical error I intentionally made. That could lead to another blog.
Better yet, clue me in on how to make the pictures behave. They won't stay where I want them.

Hooray! Grandpa's back. And I think in a three story building full of retirees, the elevator button should just say "c'mere!"
I've missed you, too! I figured you were in the midst of some big family history project and couldn't be bothered with blogging. Hope you're back for good. I miss the NMH, too, but he's showing no signs of coming out of retirement.
That cartoon at the end is hilarious! I'm glad you're back, Grandpa.
Welcome back dad!

Well if everyone's so glad to see me, why isn't anyone pointing out the error? Are we nerds or not?
I won't point out the error, but I will point out the excellent retouching on the first photo.
For all my avid fans:
Julia has a sharp eye, but she really means the second photo --the one of the tall building in San Francisco. No retouching needed on the condo photo.
Beaucoup used on the pyramid.
Heck, I even retouched the cartoon.
Took off the artist's name.
(Copyright anyone?)
The grammatical error. Hmmmmm. Is it supposed to be "are" instead of "were" on "most comments I've ever received were 13?"
Or could it be you need a comma after elevator and a comma after main floor? It did not jump out at me. I do see your point about the elevator buttons since there are only 3 floors involved. Blog on!
