I'm homesick

Just when you think you've made the adjustment, you open a magazine and there's a picture.

That was your old house?! I'd be homesick too.

Yeah, the view was great but the yard was a killer to keep mowed.

We went to Vista House once when I was really little and the wind terrified me because it was blowing so hard. Yes, the gorge is gorgeous and makes one pine for Oregon.

Sisters, sisters, where's your sense of adventure! I LOVE Vista House and remember we would joke about the wind being so strong it was going to blow Denny away! (I think you were about 5 or so). I say, the higher the better. You'd all be Ever Green with envy if you knew I took Tom to the Washougal, Washington Wildlife Refuge which is almost directly across the Columbia River from Vista House. I couldn't believe it! It was a Father's Day surprise for him. We usually go to another wildlife refuge for birding, but I recently discovered this one so close to Vista house. We Gorged ourself on its beauty.
