To all our loved ones living in Oregon, Washington, California , North Carolina, Minnesota, and elsewhere--this picture from the front page of today's Deseret News
We had beautiful sunny skies (like we do 300 days a year) and temps close to 60 yesterday. The kids played outside and we definitely counted our blessings. Although I do miss those mountains.
Woah! Looks like an inversion to me! Reminds me of 30 years ago on Dec. 19, 1980. (Tom forgot our 30th anniversary. When I wished him happy 30th anniversary after early morning choir practice his face froze and he said "Oh.....you're right." Yes, folks, he got 800 out of 800 on the math portion of the GRE, but 2010 minus 30 is still a stretch.) (Fortunately he had bought me some Christmas presents already, so he wrapped one up.) (Yes, I got him a present).
Born and raised in Oregon. Professor of Speech and Theatre for 32 years. Loved directing shows. Retired in 1986.
One wife; 3 daughters; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Love them all.

Our lovely Deseret!
If it makes you feel any better, we've had wind chills around zero, regular temps around 14. BRRRR!

Wanna trade?
We have clean, fresh low 40's weather in Carolina. Who wants to come visit?
"Nothin' would be finer
Than to be in Carolina
in the mo-or-ning..."

It's just because you live up on the East side. Down here on the West side we're beneath the inversion!
